I think I've got this creativity thing figured out. When I'm in fanfiction-writing mode, I don't make icons. When the fanfic is just not happening, the urge to make icons returns. That might also explain why this is the first icon post I've made in a year and a half.

Some of these icons have been sitting on my hard drive for months, some of them are new. I meant to put them in order by episode, but that didn't happen, so they're a little jumbled.

And no, they're not all of Sylar. :p

Well, it's been exactly four months since my last icon post. That was a long time to go without posting, but I've been so busy with school that I've only been able to make icons sporadically. Now that the semester is almost over, I finally found time to finish this batch which has been slowly accumulating over the past several months. I hadn't made any Stargate SG-1 icons since...well, since I first began making icons, so I figured it was about time. I decided to icon "Abyss" because it's easily one of the best SG-1 episodes ever made, in my opinion. Normally I'm not big on angst--and "Abyss" is nothing if not angsty--but the episode was so well done that even I loved it. The icons are mostly of Jack and Daniel, naturally, but there are a few of Baal thrown in as well, since he's one of the best (not to mention hottest) villains SG-1 has ever had.

Well, I meant to do a batch of Atlantis icons from both "Aurora" and "The Lost Boys," but so far I only have the "Aurora" ones done, and I really want to get them posted before I leave tomorrow. So the "Lost Boys" ones will just have to wait for another time. I also have several Lost icons from lost_tv_lims, which I may unfortunately have to drop out of because of the cruise. Eeep.

I'm not even a Harry Potter fan. I've never read the books and seen only bits and pieces of the movies. I'm probably the one person on the planet who's not planning to see the new movie when it comes out. However, I happened to see these posters on indilime's LJ, and they were so pretty, with the lighting and coloring, I was suddenly inspired to make icons. And, of course, ignoring inspiration can be hazardous to one's health.

Gah. This batch took me forever, and there aren't even that many. I guess it was a combination of a) being busy with various other things, and b) running into a huge icon-maker's block. *sigh* I'm not sure what the problem was/is...it's not that I wasn't motivated to do them (who wouldn't want to stare at Sean Bean for hours on end?), it's just that everything I made came out looking nasty. Oh well, I guess everyone runs into the occasional dry spell.
